Huntington Beach, CA – June 2, 2010 – BrightCom, the performance leader in integrated telepresence and video conferencing solutions announced today support of multiple audio experiences for their Lumina Telepresence and ClearView Video Conferencing solutions including audio only, data/video only and a combination of audio, video and data conferencing. These three conferencing experiences allow businesses the flexibility to communicate with more locations and a variety of BrightCom endpoints.

“BrightCom’s newest advancement in audio conferencing opens more doors for businesses to connect to and provides an easy to use and complete conferencing experience,” stated Bob McCandless, CEO of BrightCom. “Our solutions give users the flexibility to utilize the system for all of their needs which is so important when it comes to instant communication and collaboration for decision making, brainstorming and customer relationships.”

Audio Only - The audio only experience is set to replace the use of a telephone and separate conference call phone line with the remote control or touch screen technology allowing users to dial and answer calls via their room or mobile cart conference codec. Recently, BrightCom announced support for multi-microphone inputs and outputs as one of the many enhancements to their Lumina Telepresence and ClearView Video Conferencing codecs. Due to multiple audio outputs businesses are enabled with different options for stereo or spatial audio implementations including utilizing ceiling microphones and speakers, desktop microphones and speakers or a combination of both ceiling and desktop configurations.

BrightCom’s audio only experience will also be able to connect participants in the field with access to only a smartphone to conference rooms or telepresence suites.

Video and Data Collaboration - Participants with online access via a remote desktop, laptop or web camera may also use BrightCom solutions to display high definition or standard definition video and/or data while using a regular audio phone and conference call line. In this scenario, participants can use the BrightCom Visual Collaboration System to display documents, PDFs, high resolution images or video clips and broadcast high definition or stand definition video in real time simultaneously side by side for a robust interaction with people and their materials and ideas.

Integrated Audio, Video and Data - Finally, BrightCom further enables participants with the option of combining audio, video and data for complete collaboration in either a video conference or telepresence environment connecting BrightCom endpoints and creating an ultimate experience of making each member of the meeting feel as if they are in the same room.

The VCS also provides meeting recording and archiving for all three modes of conferences. Businesses utilizing this function are able to review meetings at a later date, use them for training materials, confirmation of government regulations and leverage them as documentation.
